Forty trailers a day to a hundred.
Three NuPresto compressor packages at CORE Natural Gas's Kermit, Texas virtual pipeline site. Delivered July 2025.
The challenge
CORE Natural Gas moves gas by road. Its Kermit site fills CNG tube trailers for customers across the Permian, and the station's compression had become the bottleneck: roughly 40 trailers a day was the ceiling, with the rest of the fleet waiting on fill lanes.
The site needed more compression that would run day and night in West Texas heat, fill trailers at full pressure, and be serviceable by the operator's own crew without a specialist on call.
What we delivered
- Three NuPresto compressor packages on the Fornovo Gas DA300 frame, each rated 3 MMSCFD at 850 psig suction and 4,100 psig discharge
- Non-lubricated, water-cooled cylinders with closed-loop glycol cooling sized for continuous summer duty
- PLC and HMI controls with trailer fill sequencing and remote monitoring via Ewon
- Skids assembled, wired and factory-acceptance tested in Center, Texas, then installed, commissioned and started up on site
- Documentation package, spares list and operator training

What this means for you
If your mother station is trailer-limited, more compression is the fastest lever, and it does not have to mean a custom engineering project. The NuPresto 400 is the standardized evolution of the units at Kermit: same frame, same controls, refined BOM and shorter lead time. Send us your suction pressure, trailer count and target fills per day, and we will size the station.
CORE has since returned for a NuPresto 400 at its Stanton, Texas site.
